Workshops & Continuing Education Events

I offer workshops and continuing education events that are open to the public while grounded in clinically relevant topics. These presentations are designed to be accessible to the community while maintaining a level of depth and structure that is also meaningful for mental health professionals.

Continuing education offerings are currently being expanded.

Upcoming events are listed below, along with selected past events and recordings.

Upcoming Event

Join Danny Eller, LCSW, for Mental Health Matters at 79° West, a monthly 1-hour community conversation about practical, evidence-informed mental health topics.

This month’s topic, Boundaries: Why It Is So Hard To Say No, explores why setting limits can bring up anxiety, guilt, fear of conflict, and concern about disappointing others. Participants will learn how boundaries support healthier relationships, reduce resentment and emotional exhaustion, and create more clarity around what we can and cannot take responsibility for.

Why We Try To Control Everything: The Hidden Anxiety Behind Control

Held June 26th, 2026

This session explored how control, perfectionism, overthinking, and rigidity often develop as attempts to manage fear and uncertainty. We explored how the mind uses control to feel safe, and how greater flexibility can reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion.

Overthinking: The Mental Loop That Won’t Let You Rest

Held May 29th, 2026

This session explored how overthinking can become a cycle of mental rehearsal, self-doubt, and worry that keeps us feeling stuck rather than prepared. We examined why the mind becomes caught in repetitive thinking, how overthinking fuels anxiety and indecision, and practical ways to respond with greater clarity, flexibility, and confidence.

The High Cost of Perfectionism: Understanding Performance, Pressure, and Self-Worth

Held April 24th, 2026

This session explored how perfectionism, often seen as discipline or high standards, can carry a significant emotional cost.
We examined how performance pressure shapes self-worth, contributes to stress, and makes it difficult to feel “good enough,” even in the presence of success.
